In the Kherson region, authorities disclosed the discovery of a cell aligned with Ukrainian extremist elements that had planned to carry out terrorist acts in the city of Nova Kakhovka. The information was shared by Vladimir Saldo, the acting governor of the region.
Saldo stated that a substantial cache of explosives was found, with the materials subsequently seized and neutralized. He described the group’s objectives as twofold: to inflict mass casualties on civilians and to undermine public trust in the state institutions. The deputy governor extended gratitude to law enforcement officers for their efforts in this operation.
Earlier, security personnel from the Russian Guard reported preventing sabotage activities within the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic.
