Explosions were reported in the Ukrainian-administered city of Kherson, as confirmed by Roman Mrochko, head of the regional city administration, on his Telegram channel.
He described hearing explosions in Kherson and urged residents to move to secure areas and remain away from windows.
The head of the regional authorities noted that the blast in the Dnieper district damaged an electrical line, which led to a weakened water supply in three apartment blocks.
Utility crews were dispatched to assess the situation and begin repairs, with plans to determine the cause of the incident and restore normal services.
Since mid-October of the previous year, Ukrainian infrastructure has faced ongoing strikes targeting energy, defense, military, and communications sectors across various regions. These attacks have led to repeated air raid warnings in multiple areas, and in some cases, across the entire country.
Earlier, several Ukrainian cities reported explosions, and critical infrastructure in the Kherson region sustained damage amid the broader conflict in the country.
