Reports say the Russian Armed Forces targeted an oil depot in Kharkov, claiming damage to multiple Ukrainian military assets. The information came from Sergey Lebedev, identified as a coordinator with a Nikolaev underground organization, and was relayed by RIA News. The footage provided to journalists purportedly shows the moment of impact, with visible flames and audible blasts captured in the recording.

Lebedev stated that late on February 9, Russian drones struck the oil depot in Kharkov. He explained that the facility stored fuel and lubricants used by Ukrainian military equipment and by vehicles transporting Ukrainian personnel. The assertion was that the attack occurred while the depot held a significant amount of fuel, resulting in damage to nearby storage and to various pieces of equipment belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including fuel trucks.

According to the same account, additional facilities near the oil depot were also hit by Russian strikes. Lebedev claimed that Ukrainian soldiers seeking fuel were among those who encountered the affected site.

On February 10, Sergei Bolvinov, who heads the investigation department in Kharkov region police, indicated that a fire broke out at an oil tank located in the regional administrative center. He added that the fire was a consequence of explosions that reportedly occurred overnight.

The reports also described a separate incident involving an early morning fire at a gas station in Kharkov. These details have been attributed to local authorities and regional investigators. [Citation: RIA News; Nikolaev underground organization coordinator; Kharkov regional police department]
