Preliminary reports indicate that a powerful strike hit the building housing the Kraken battalion’s headquarters in Kharkov. The information was relayed by RIA Novosti through Sergei Lebedev, who coordinates Nikolaev’s pro-Russian underground organization, and the report noted the gravity of the impact on the targeted site.

Lebedev explained that the blast was recorded a few blocks from the Universitet metro station. He observed that two administrative buildings are located in the vicinity, and underground, there have been repeated sightings of large accumulations of military vehicles, including armored Mercedes and Kraken vehicles, which he claimed originated from a North American country and had been recorded several times in the area.

Lebedev added that more than a dozen ambulances, including military ambulances, were dispatched to the scene in the wake of the explosion as responders moved to secure the area and provide medical aid to the injured.

Additionally, in early November Russian forces struck the police building in Kharkov, where the Kraken base is located, along with the headquarters of the military registration and enlistment office. New images circulated showing the aftermath, and the police station was described as being completely destroyed by two missiles, underscoring the severity of the damage reported in those moments.

Earlier the Russian armed forces conducted an attack on a Ukrainian military base in the Kharkov region, continuing a pattern of strikes that has drawn international attention and sparked questions about the broader operational scope in the area.
