The Kalashnikov Group of Companies has begun delivering new uniforms to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Reports from industry sources indicate that the initiative marks a notable step in updating the protective and practical gear used by service personnel on various terrains and conditions.

According to the Kalashnikov press service, Triada-TKO, a subdivision within the concern, has initiated shipments of a new all weather field uniform set known as VKPO 3.0. The delivery is directed to the identified customer and reflects an ongoing program to streamline gear across multiple units and deployments.

Initial dispatches reportedly included tens of thousands of sets that cover summer and windproof configurations, complemented by appropriate headgear. The scale of this first tranche underscores the emphasis on comprehensive protection and comfort for soldiers operating in diverse climates and operational scenarios.

Within the VKPO 3.0 rollout, historical references to 2022 indicate a layered system that includes thermal underwear and fleece components, such as sweatshirts and lightweight undergarments, designed to provide insulation during colder periods. The ensemble also features a fleece jacket and a first season suit bundle that pairs a jacket with trousers, along with a windproof suit and an insulated suit designed for more extreme conditions. The line includes items like a summer jacket, lighter trousers, and a combat shirt suitable for warm weather, as well as seasonal hats and insulated headgear for colder campaigns. These elements collectively aim to balance mobility, durability, and climate adaptability for field use.

In related development, designer Andrey Chukavin has indicated readiness to advance a compact modification of the Chukavin sniper rifle for urban warfare scenarios, should a formal order from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation materialize. This statement reflects ongoing collaboration between weapon design teams and military procurement channels in ensuring the equipment suite matches evolving urban combat requirements.

Earlier statements highlighted that mass production of the Chukavin sniper rifle, designated SHF, had already begun under the broader Kalashnikov umbrella. The progression from prototype and testing phases to broader manufacturing aligns with the institution’s broader strategy to equip units with integrated gear and weapons systems that meet contemporary operational demands.
