Courts and police investigate several juvenile assault cases across multiple cities
A teenager was detained on suspicion of raping a 12-year-old girl in the entrance of a house in the north of St. Petersburg. Local media reported this incident, noting that the young suspect was taken into custody as a criminal case for rape was opened. The mother of the injured student contacted law enforcement to report that her child had been molested at the building entrance. The ninth-grade student was detained as part of the investigation, and authorities launched criminal proceedings in connection with the alleged crime.
Further reports from local outlets indicate another case in which a 14-year-old boy is suspected of attacking a girl at the entrance of a high-rise building on Grazhdansky Boulevard. Investigators are working to establish the details surrounding the incident. At this time, information about the girl’s condition has not been disclosed by officials or the media.
Earlier coverage mentioned a separate incident in Kaliningrad involving a person described as a pedophile who attempted to rape and bit a girl. A 59-year-old Uzbek national allegedly approached an 11-year-old schoolgirl near a residential building and offered to accompany her to a bus stop. During the walk, the man tried to kiss the girl. When she resisted, the attacker allegedly tore at her clothing and touched her private parts. The girl resisted, and the assailant reportedly bit her on the cheek before leaving the scene. The suspect, who was detained, did not admit guilt during investigation. A court later sentenced the defendant to 14 years in prison.
A separate note mentions that a man in the Perm region was arrested on suspicion of raping a 3-year-old child.
