Witnesses captured a tense scene on video: two men grappling on the ground while an unidentified assailant attempted to strangle the SVO soldier. A female voiceover described how the attacker had previously damaged the fighter’s vehicle. Earlier in the year, a former police chief faced accusations related to a separate arson attack on the home of a member of the SVO in the town of Istra near Moscow.
