Regional authorities report a missile strike on Ivanovskoye in Kursk region, with damage confined to civilian objects. The information came from Alexander Khinshtein, the acting governor, who relayed the update through a Telegram channel.
According to Khinshtein, one of the impacts struck the House of Culture. Shrapnel penetrated walls and shattered windows at the boarding school, the local post office, and the shopping center. Early assessments also suggested damage to a nearby residential building as a consequence of the blast.
The acting governor noted that, at the time of reporting, none of the residents had sought medical assistance from local facilities.
There was also a minor rupture in a section of the natural gas pipeline. Khinshtein stated that gas workers had already begun repairs and expected to complete the work within a few hours. He added that natural gas service had been restored to residents’ homes as the restoration progressed.
On January 2, reports indicated that four Ukrainian soldiers were accused of carrying out a terrorist attack in the Snagost village of Kursk region.
