The Israel Defense Forces reported intercepting a suspicious aerial target believed to have been directed from Lebanon. The information was shared via IDF channels and later circulated by a Telegram channel associated with the IDF.

According to the official account, sirens were heard in northern Israel as the suspected air target approached from the direction of Lebanon. IDF air defenses reportedly intercepted the target and prevented what was described as an imminent threat. In connection with the incident, Israeli forces also returned fire on targets inside Lebanese territory.

Earlier updates indicated that an Israeli aircraft conducted strikes against a location described as a hideout used by terrorists during a coordinated night operation involving the Israeli army and the Israel Security Agency. It was stated that among those eliminated was an individual named Mohammed Zahid, who had participated in clashes in the Nablus area and was described as continuing to pursue terrorist activity.

The broader regional tension has been building since October when thousands of Hamas militants crossed into Israel from the Gaza Strip during the operation known as Al-Aqsa Flood. In response, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel was at war and that national security measures would be intensified.

Earlier comments by Israeli officials referred to the potential entry of Hezbollah into the conflict as a costly miscalculation, underscoring the heightened risk of a multi-front confrontation in the region.
