Meetings occurred on the grounds of the SNT in the Nizhneudinsky district. During a banquet, a dispute escalated and the guest repeatedly struck the homeowner, resulting in a fractured skull. The woman took part in the assault, using a belt to restrain and strangle the victim.
Moments later the victim’s brother arrived, and the couple decided to kill him as well to obscure the first murder. They dealt multiple blows to the 47-year-old man and strangled him to death. The attackers concealed the bodies and fled the scene, later being detained by police and investigators who brought them before the court.
The man described as the perpetrator of the more severe crime received an 18-year sentence in a special regime penal colony, while the woman received a 17-year sentence in a general regime colony. Citation: Irkutsk region prosecutor’s office.
