Iran presented its Haydar cruise missiles along with Shafagh heavy anti-tank missiles during a military aviation exhibition that showcased the nation’s latest defense developments. The event was reported by Mehr News Agency.
Details about the combat systems, including performance specifications, were not disclosed at the briefing.
According to Mehr, the exhibition’s opening on Sunday featured high-ranking officials, including Major General Yahya Rahim, who serves as the chief military adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader on defense matters and who previously commanded the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Also in attendance were Brigadier General Kiumar Haidari, commander of the Iranian Land Forces, who is under sanctions imposed by the United States, and Army Aviation Commander Second Brigadier General Yousef Ghorbani.
Earlier reports indicated that Iran has established an underground base equipped with drones and cruise missiles beneath the Zagros mountain range. The installation, referred to as Strategic Base 313, is described as part of the regular Iranian military framework. The complex allegedly sits several hundred meters below the surface and houses a sizable fleet of drones and cruise missiles within its tunnel network.
