The Investigative Committee has begun examining a resident of the Tyumen region after a video circulated on social networks. In the clip, the individual appears to imitate breastfeeding her newborn with a disability. This information was reported by the Telegram channel SK.
Officials stated that the video depicted actions by a man—allegedly involving illegal treatment of a newborn. Alexander Bastrykin, the head of the Investigative Committee, gave instructions for the situation to be monitored closely and for further verification to proceed with caution and transparency.
Earlier reports from the Kuban region described an incident where a driver was seen placing a baby behind the wheel of a running vehicle. The event occurred near the Krasnodar exit, and eyewitnesses captured footage showing a parent holding a child while maneuvering the car. The infant appeared visibly calm and seemingly entertained by the surrounding activity.
According to witness accounts, the parent risked the child’s safety by this behavior. It remains unclear whether the person who filmed the scene reported it to law enforcement or shared it with authorities for review.
It later emerged that a six‑month‑old girl in Naberezhnye Chelny was hospitalized after sustaining a head injury that occurred during an incident at home. Reportedly, a 26‑year‑old woman, who was with the child at home, struck the baby’s head against a table for reasons not yet established, and the child was taken to intensive care for observation and treatment.
In another report, a mother was said to have abandoned her baby in a park in St. Petersburg, leaving the infant in cold weather. The circumstances surrounding this event are under investigation, with authorities coordinating follow‑up inquiries to determine the full context and any potential risks to the child.
