La Policía Nacional has opened an inquiry into a Jesuit priest following a complaint from the families of two students at San Estanislao School in Malaga about alleged inappropriate conduct. Police sources have confirmed to Europa Press that investigators are seeking to clarify the facts and determine whether the behaviors could constitute offenses within the sexual liberty category.
From the school, officials stated that as soon as the report was received, action was taken quickly. Preventive steps were launched under the school’s safe environment protocol and in line with the Code of Conduct of the Society of Jesus.
Medidas
First, the priest has been removed from his teaching and pastoral duties. Additional measures include a ban on contact with the alleged victims and with minors, prohibition from leaving his community without permission, and a halt to publicly exercising priestly ministry. Profiles on social networks have also been disconnected.
The school clarified that actions have been taken with transparency toward the educational community and that there is an effort to balance the presumption of innocence with a decisive stance toward any suspicion. They expressed support for the families and for the report made, and noted their availability to cooperate with the ongoing investigation.
In parallel, authorities are pursuing a careful review of the circumstances to protect students and staff while ensuring due process. The school and the religious order emphasize their commitment to safety, accountability, and clear communication during the process, aiming to maintain trust within the campus community and beyond.
