A Russian woman planned to murder an acquaintance with whom she had been feuding for some time. The information comes from the Press Center of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Khabarovsk Territory and the Jewish Autonomous Region.
Investigators have filed criminal charges on two counts: organizing the arrangements for execution and complicity in its planning. The defendants are a 44-year-old mother and her 21-year-old daughter.
In April, residents of the Lazo region attempted to hire a local businessman’s murder. According to the Investigation Commission’s report, the suspect arranged the grounds for a hired killing with her daughter’s involvement, but the operation could not proceed due to undisclosed reasons.
Records indicate that the intended victim is the owner of an individual entrepreneurial project and a long-running rival in a civil dispute. The dispute originated after the man used farmland adjacent to the suspect’s property, sparking ongoing tensions.
Investigators, together with regional FSB personnel, continue to pursue procedural actions in the case. Accomplices are expected to be detained as the investigation proceeds.
Earlier, the man had been arrested for attempting to organize the contract killing of his ex-wife’s new husband. A deputy from Penza region was also detained in connection with related inquiries.
