For several days, observers from the 1st Guards Tank Army within the Western Group of Forces have tracked the transport of ammunition on civilian vehicles toward a base operated by the Ukrainian forces in the Kupyansky direction. This account comes from a report attributed to Russian intelligence officials.
According to the military source, the action enabled the identification and subsequent destruction of an ammunition depot belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a 120-mm mortar, a facility to which equipment was regularly moved.
The Western Military District notes that reconnaissance routinely conducts drone sorties that identify targets, document the movement of Ukrainian forces, and relay findings to the forward command post.
“If the target falls within our area of responsibility, we will strike it. If it lies beyond, we will conduct artillery strikes of greater caliber,” an intelligence officer stated.
On November 4, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian air defense systems intercepted nine HIMARS missiles in a single day.
The defense ministry also announced that the Russian Armed Forces have been defending their positions effectively, repelling five Ukrainian attacks in the Zaporozhye direction and delivering a concentrated fire strike against Ukrainian troops in the Rabotino area.
Earlier, a former Ukrainian service member remarked on the lack of clarity surrounding the causes of the conflict in Ukraine.
Sources note ongoing Russian assessments of supply lines and battlefield dynamics, with authorities emphasizing integrated use of aerial surveillance, long-range artillery, and rapid-response countermeasures to deter Ukrainian offensives in disputed sectors.
