According to officials, the Novoshakhtinsk investigative department received a report about an attack on staff of the city police department of Russia. The assault left one officer wounded by a gunshot and he was subsequently hospitalized for treatment.
Authorities indicate that charges have been filed under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, addressing the crime of rape on the life of a law enforcement officer, in addition to Part 1 of Article 222, which covers illegal arms trafficking.
On the morning of November 6, residents reported that an unidentified man in camouflage clothing opened fire on police personnel in the Novoshakhtinsk suburb, Rostov region.
According to information from a local Telegram channel, the event occurred near the customs post on the city’s outskirts. As police were continuing to search for a missing woman, a man concealed in a forested area emerged and directed fire toward a police car with a Kalashnikov assault rifle.
