In Perm, a man is facing criminal charges after a brutal assault on his eldest son, as reported by local authorities.
A Perm resident was accused of severely beating his eldest son in what authorities describe as a violent domestic incident. The regional department of the Investigative Committee identified the event as taking place on December 21, 2021, noting that alcohol played a significant role in escalating the confrontation.
According to the agency, the husband arrived home intoxicated. When his wife opened the door, carrying their daughter, the man grabbed her by the neck and dragged her into the kitchen. The household tension quickly spiraled as the couple’s other children attempted to intervene to protect their mother and younger sibling.
During the confrontation, the aggressor struck the mother in the stomach and continued to assault her family members as they attempted to intervene. A frightened mother, with young children nearby, fled to seek help from neighbors and by calling for medical assistance. Neighbors promptly notified law enforcement and emergency medical services, initiating a response that would later document the injuries sustained in the attack.
Medical professionals who arrived at the scene diagnosed the elder son with a closed craniocerebral injury, concussion, a broken nose, and bruised kidneys. The son lost consciousness multiple times during the beating, and witnesses reported that the father restored him to awareness and persisted with verbal taunts, compounding the emotional trauma alongside the physical injuries.
The defendant has denied guilt amid ongoing investigations. Prosecutors indicate that the case is slated for court proceedings in the near term, where the accused could face a potential prison term ranging from three to seven years if convicted under applicable laws addressing severe domestic violence and related harm.
