In a quiet Valladolid area, a 25-year-old man dies after a late-night shooting

A young man lost his life after a shooting that began with a heated exchange Monday night, turning a local discussion into a scene of sudden violence. The incident occurred in La Cistérniga, near Valladolid, and is being investigated by Civil Guard authorities who are gathering details about what transpired in and around a common gathering spot that evening.

Witnesses described a quarrel that escalated quickly, followed by gunfire in an open parking area. The young man was struck in the chest, and emergency responders rushed him to a nearby hospital where medical teams fought to save him. Despite the efforts of the staff, the injuries were fatal and he did not survive his injuries.

The deceased was 25 years old. Local authorities from Castilla y León’s 112 Emergency Service indicated that the incident occurred roughly around 1:30 a.m. along the N-122, near a restaurant located between La Cistérniga and the La Mora industrial zone. The time and location have been confirmed by official timelines released by the regional emergency network as part of their ongoing incident report.

On receiving the initial alert, 112 promptly notified the Civil Guard and the La Cistérniga Local Police, and Sacyl emergency medical services dispatched a mobile intensive care unit to the scene. Medical personnel from Sacyl provided on-site stabilization before transferring the patient to Valladolid University Clinical Hospital for further treatment. The transfer was conducted with advanced life-support measures in the back of the mobile unit, reflecting the seriousness of the injuries reported at the moment of the call.

According to the Civil Guard, the patient succumbed to his injuries after arrival at the hospital.
