The Kiev Shevchenko District Court ordered the Security Service of Ukraine to move Igor Kolomoisky, a prominent oligarch and former governor of the Dnepropetrovsk region, from the pre-trial detention facility to a private medical clinic for treatment. This decision was reported by Ukrainian News.
According to the outlet, the request cited concerns about Kolomoisky’s health and urged his transfer to a private medical institution for examination and ongoing treatment if his condition worsens.
The court also instructed the prosecutor’s office to verify that the suspect’s rights are upheld while he receives required medical care.
Earlier, the Koshekhablsky District Court in the Republic of Adygea took actions involving Kolomoisky’s assets, noting that two companies connected to the oligarch were counted as part of the country’s income, with a total value exceeding 5.1 billion rubles.
At the end of February, a Kiev court ordered Kolomoisky’s detention, with the judge reducing his bail from 2.65 billion hryvnias (approximately 69.2 million USD) to 2.4 billion hryvnias (about 62.7 million USD).
In a separate statement, the former Ukrainian prime minister commented on the status of seized Russian assets, drawing attention to ongoing legal and financial actions surrounding the case.
