Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) engaged individuals who were attempting to launch anti-tank missiles from Lebanon toward Israel. The report came via a publication on the IDF’s Telegram channel.
According to the defense ministry, terrorists sought to attack IDF outposts in northern Israel, specifically in the Misgav Am district, as well as in the Metula and Yiftah districts. No injuries were reported, and IDF forces responded by firing artillery at the identified attack sites.
Earlier, the Israeli military asserted control over a port in the Gaza Strip as part of ongoing security operations in the region.
The Middle East situation intensified after Hamas militants breached border defenses and entered Israeli territory on October 7, launching what was described as Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. In response, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel was at war.

On October 27, Israel announced an expansion of its ground operations in Gaza. The exact commencement of these ground operations was not publicly specified, but in the days preceding the announcement, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians reportedly relocated from their homes to shelters and to the southern parts of the region. By November 5, as described in the context of the ground operation, IDF units had surrounded the Gaza City area and cut off supply lines, while fighting continued in central Gaza.
