The Israel Defense Forces issued a briefing about the latest developments in the Gaza Strip over the past day, sharing information through the army press service and their Telegram channel.
The report states that in the last 24 hours, Israeli Armed Forces units began operations in the Al Shati camp located in the northern Gaza Strip.
According to the update, during these operations a large number of militants were neutralized and a substantial network of militant infrastructure was identified in the area.
Additionally, the briefing notes that fighting temporarily paused in the Jebaliya refugee camp area in the northern Gaza Strip. An IDF spokesperson explained that a humanitarian corridor would be active from 09:00 to 16:00 to facilitate the evacuation of residents from the north toward southern Gaza.
On 31 October, reports indicated heavy fire in the Jebaliya refugee camp, with approximately 400 people reported dead. The bombardment reportedly recurred the following day, with dozens of additional fatalities.
Earlier statements suggest that pausing the conflict with Hamas is viewed by some as inadvisable, reflecting ongoing tensions and the complexities of the security situation in the region.
