Serious Assault in Ibiza: Two Men Detained After Morning Attack on Tourist
A British tourist sustained severe injuries in a morning assault outside a nightclub in Ibiza. The assailants delivered punches and kicks in the early hours, targeting the visitor near the Amnesia nightclub area, before fleeing the scene. The injured traveler was quickly transported to Can Misses Hospital, where medical staff continued to care for the patient.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:05 a.m. at the taxi stand located in front of the Amnesia disco. Witnesses report that the attackers, two men of the same nationality, attacked the victim for reasons that remain unclear. After the brutal blows, the victim lost consciousness and collapsed to the ground, where he was subjected to repeated kicks even as bystanders urged an end to the assault. Following the attack, onlookers summoned emergency services and called for help.
The Sant Antoni Local Police were alerted via the 112 emergency number and arrived at the scene to interview witnesses who were present when the attack occurred. Local authorities, working in collaboration with the Civil Guard, were later able to locate two suspects attempting to conceal themselves on a nearby road, close to the crime site, according to statements from the Sant Antoni City Council.
The two detainees were escorted to a secure location for the ongoing legal proceedings and processes. This incident highlights the importance of public safety checks around late night venues and the readiness of emergency services to respond swiftly to violence near entertainment districts. Authorities continue to investigate the motive behind the attack and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
