Hospital Fire Incidents: Evacuations and Emergency Response Across Russian Medical Facilities

Open incineration was eliminated at the Central Clinical Hospital in Novosibirsk after a fire outbreak on the roof. Reports from the Ministry of Emergency Situations via the telegraph channel indicate that the blaze began on the hospital roof and spread over an area of about 1.8 thousand square meters. The emergency services responded quickly, and fire brigades managed to suppress the open fire across the affected zone. The operational dispatch noted that the fire was brought under control by 17:11 local time (13:11 Moscow time). Five separate fire attack teams were deployed, with a total of about 100 rescuers and 33 units of equipment engaged in the firefighting effort. Rescuers continue to monitor the burned sections to prevent a subsequent flare-up and to ensure the site remains safe for personnel and patients.

During the incident, 130 people were evacuated from the hospital premises, including 100 patients. There were no reported casualties, and medical staff remained on site to assess and care for those displaced. Earlier, around the same period, approximately 100 people were evacuated from the Moscow Botkin Hospital due to a fire that affected a room on the technical floor. The situation required rapid evacuation procedures to safeguard patients and staff from potential danger.

In another development, a fire incident occurred at a hospital in Astrakhan. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported within the medical facility, and patients were evacuated promptly to safer areas. The emergency response teams coordinated their actions to isolate the affected zones and minimize disruption to ongoing medical care. This sequence of events underscores the continuous vigilance of hospital safety protocols and the readiness of emergency services to protect lives in medical settings. The authorities have emphasized the importance of immediate reporting, swift containment, and orderly evacuations to prevent further harm to patients and hospital personnel. The incidents are being documented by official rescue services and cited by regional communications to inform the public about safety measures and ongoing recovery efforts (citation: Ministry of Emergency Situations).
