One List Games together with Strelka Games and Yonderconfirmed have revealed their latest title, a PvPvE survival horror experience called Hell Others. The game places players in a bird’s-eye, online multiplayer world where danger lurks in every alley. The launch is scheduled for Steam on October 20. The story follows Adam Smithson, a solitary figure living in a compact apartment on the outskirts of Century City. He moves through the monotonous cycles of work, eating, sleeping, and the everyday rhythms of city life, all under the shroud of a night that never seems to end.
His only companion is a tiny bonsai plant tended with care. Yet in a city that never sleeps, even this living thing needs a sinister sustenance to survive. To keep the bonsai alive, Adam must venture through the shadowy streets in collaboration with other players, gathering supplies, scavenging resources, and completing missions while fighting to endure the unending night.
Night adventures in a mysterious city
Loot earned from nocturnal expeditions can be used to upgrade the apartment. These upgrades grant practical advantages when playing in multiplayer mode. The streets, however, are not forgiving. Players must stay vigilant because both human and nonhuman threats will hunt them for more than just blood. Opponents will try to seize every valuable item found during the scavenging runs. In a twist of strategy, players can rely on the bonsai and other houseplants to aid in survival, watering them with hostile blood and even cultivating personalized ammunition—turning the home into a defensive fortress.
The game blends a unique hybrid of customization with an extraction-style progression, all set within a dark and surreal urban landscape. Hell Others embraces retro-inspired visuals while delivering a rich, immersive narrative that peels back the layers of a city that thrives on fear and mystery. It offers a provocative look at life inside a nightmare metropolis.
With the launch date announced, the developers also disclosed a closed beta phase that begins immediately. Registration opens on the game’s Steam page, and interested players can sign up to participate. A trailer accompanying the announcement gives a visual taste of the eerie atmosphere and tense encounters that await players in this nightmarish setting. Official details and updates are expected to continue rolling out as the beta progresses and the full release draws nearer.
