This heat excess raises the risk of overheating in electrical substations and can compromise cooling systems that support rail infrastructure, including signaling and power supply units.
The agency cautions that refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and power supplies may experience performance issues or temporary shutdowns during peak heat periods.
