Great news for fans of fast-paced shooters that mix competition with fun. Hawked opens its first cross‑platform open beta, connecting PlayStation 4 and 5 with PC players. Participants can dive into the free Renegade Pass, unlocking cosmetics at launch, from August 31 to September 4.

My.Games has a history of offering free access trials. Earlier in August, PC players enjoyed a window of free play. Your progress from the previous beta and Renegade Pass stays intact, so advance your journey to earn more special items.

In Hawked, three squads race to collect and extract Artifacts from Isle X. Abandoned zones challenge teams to win the extraction by battling monsters and rival players, solving puzzles, and avoiding traps. The straightforward rule is simple: the first team to remove the artifacts from the island wins the match. [citation: My.Games]

X, the dynamic island

The action unfolds on Island X, a newly discovered treasure cradle packed with loot. The Disciples want the island back and won’t relinquish their prize easily. In this lively, ever-changing map, each game offers a fresh challenge. Players compete in different sectors to uncover hidden treasures and Artifacts, while testing wits to solve puzzles, open doors, and unlock vital locks for rewards. Dynamic events appear during matches, such as a colossal boss carrying a treasure-laden burden that must be defeated to claim artifacts. Island X evolves over time through updates, limited-time events, and new seasons. [citation: My.Games]

Customize and equip Renegades

Consistent with games of this genre, players tailor their digital alter egos with a wide array of clothing items, hairstyles, and color options. This customization pairs with artifacts, gear, and power-ups to craft the ideal treasure hunter. Currently, 21 titles can be equipped when earned in matches, offering passive bonuses like brief camouflage in tall grass or a sixth sense to detect nearby enemies. These bonuses can be stacked, and all items come in multiple rarities and upgrade paths. [citation: My.Games]

In addition, a robust set of equipment awaits—boomerangs, deployable trenches, scouting falcons, and more—to deepen customization and strategy. Upgrades come from treasure currency earned through play or by shredding unused items. Riftwakes, the social hub of the game, ties together the player community and progression. [citation: My.Games]

An important note from the developer: cross‑platform progression is not active yet. In other words, progress on PlayStation cannot be carried over to PC, even when using the same user account. [citation: My.Games]
