A man who had been harassing a passerby and resisted law enforcement in Pervouralsk was taken into custody. This account follows reporting from ura.ru and references the Sverdlovsk Region’s Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service chief.
According to Colonel Valery Gorelykh, the 45-year-old local resident, previously convicted for illegal drug purchase, theft, robbery, and other serious offenses, was detained under Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. He was stopped after sprinting through the Talitsa microdistrict, causing alarm among residents. Onlookers believed the man might be mentally unsettled and alerted police. Upon arriving at the precinct, investigators learned that the parents of a 13-year-old schoolgirl had already filed a report about him.
“The same day, he harassed her on bus route number 4,” the official noted.
The detainee admitted using drugs and claimed to have no memory of the events. The bus incident occurred in view of many people, yet none of the passengers intervened or offered support to the girl who had been touched by an adult. Authorities said that a criminal case decision is pending, with investigative materials to be forwarded to the Investigative Committee for further action.
Today, a court ordered a preventive measure for the suspect who did not comply with lawful police instructions; he will remain in custody for three days.
In another case, a repeat offender in Karelia was sentenced to twenty years in prison after involvement in a series of violent crimes including drunkenness and the sexual assault of children.
