The Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrey Vorobyov, arrived in Naro-Fominsk to attend a housewarming for the family of a person who took part in a special military operation, according to the regional government press service. With backing from the Moscow region government, the United Russia Foundation Young Guard, and the charity Svoi Dom, the family secured a plot of land and a new, fully equipped house built on the site of the old residence, which had been damaged by a fire.

The family’s head is currently on vacation. The fire, which started on July 24 while the service member was in a combat zone, was caused by a voltage drop that led to a cable fire in the house.

His wife and five children were temporarily accommodated in the Kantemirovskaya section, where they were provided with everything necessary for daily life and comfort during the rebuilding period.

According to the veteran who participated in the Special Military Operation, he learned about the blaze two days after it began, when headquarters informed him of the incident.

“Only a few hours later I was allowed to return home, and by the 27th I was already in Naro-Fominsk,” the serviceman recalled.

In the Kantemirovskaya department, there is a long-standing figure known as Olga Korostyleva, the head of the club and the chair of the women’s council. The soldier remembers meeting her before the New Year during a teleconference with frontline colleagues. Her support and attention to the families of servicemen were noticed, and it was clear they could not stay away when a need arose. Vorobyov thanked the warrior’s family for their service and expressed happiness that they would now live in a newer, more spacious home.

The soldier’s wife described how she managed to get all the children out of the burning house in a miraculous escape to the street. The fire destroyed the house and two cars, leaving the family without a roof, tools, belongings, or documents.

The new residence covers 120 square meters and offers more space than the previous dwelling. It features three renovated rooms, a parking area on the adjacent lot, and a security checkpoint at the entrance. Nearby amenities include a shop, a public transport stop, and a nearby reservoir, providing convenience and a sense of stability for the family in their new home.
