FSB Treason Charges and Related Detentions Across Russian Regions (Update)

The Russian Federal Security Service, known as the FSB, has formally charged Perm-based photographer and musician Grigory Skvortsov as part of a treason investigation. The charge came through official channels referenced by TASS, which cited law enforcement sources for the information.

Authorities have not disclosed additional specifics about the case, noting that materials are classified and not publicly available at this time.

According to the Lefortovo Court in Moscow, Skvortsov was arrested in November 2023 and his detention was extended on January 22. He remains housed at the Lefortovo pretrial detention center as the proceedings move forward.

In St. Petersburg, on the eve of the trial, a Russian mixed martial artist known for competing in events across the country was detained. The individual, Denis Dzhivovsky, participated in armed conflict on Ukrainian territory for a period of two months according to authorities.

Earlier reports from the FSB mentioned the detention of a Kuzbass resident suspected of treason for transferring funds to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The case adds to a broader pattern of authorities pursuing treason-related charges in the region.

Additionally, there have been cases involving a Russian sailor who was sentenced to a lengthy prison term on treason charges, highlighting a continued focus on offenses described by authorities as compromising national security. Marketed claims and procedural updates from official sources continue to shape public understanding of these incidents. (Source attribution: TASS)”
