The Russian Federal Security Service released footage documenting the detention and interrogation of a Russian citizen who was accused of planning a terrorist act against the Trans-Siberian Railway in the Sverdlovsk region, allegedly acting on orders from Ukrainian intelligence.

During questioning, the man stated that officials from Ukrainian intelligence had asked him to sign a receipt. He explained that the document contained a commitment to assist the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The detainee also indicated that a representative from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine contacted him directly. He was asked to travel to Kiev to receive instructions on constructing a homemade device. After receiving training, he returned to Russia via Moldova and Türkiye, first arriving in Moscow and then moving on to Salekhard.

According to the FSB, the recruitment of the Russian citizen was coordinated by Ukrainian special services in Lviv. The individual underwent sabotage training and was dispatched to Russia to execute terrorist attacks. The planned operation involved derailing cargo trains using a homemade explosive device as part of a broader special mission.

A criminal case has been opened against the Russian citizen under Part 3, Article 30, Paragraph A, Section 2, Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which covers involvement in a terrorist act.

Earlier, the FSB released footage showing the arrest of a Ukrainian operative who was preparing for acts of terrorism in Bryansk, underscoring a pattern of cross-border activity linked to such plots.
