In updates from the Vostok group’s press center, authorities stated that the unit formations repelled multiple Ukrainian Armed Forces assaults aimed at the Urozhayne sector in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The report attributed the defense to coordinated artillery support and aerial backing, noting that forts, vehicles, and personnel were eliminated through a combination of strikes and shock drone use as the conflict persisted.
The spokesperson also indicated that a Ukrainian reconnaissance attempt toward Staromayorsky in the DPR was halted, with claims of enemy losses and retreat following the engagement. In the same briefing, it was claimed that artillery fire destroyed an ammunition depot in the Staromayorsky district and that an armored combat vehicle, along with a truck carrying Ukrainian soldiers, and additional enemy formations west of Velika Novoselka near Rivnopol, were neutralized.
Further, the official stated that a counter-effort by Ukrainian forces to redeploy to the northern area of Vladimirovka was blocked, preventing consolidation of enemy positions in that corridor.
Earlier reports from the Russian Defense Ministry indicated that, in the Donetsk direction, the South group of troops, supported by aircraft, repelled three individual Ukrainian attacks across Avdiivka, Berestovoye, and Maryinka within a single day, showcasing a sustained defense around key settlements.
In a separate note, attention is drawn to ongoing assessments of activity in other theaters, including statements from American authorities noting perceived threats to Ukrainian forces. The situation remains dynamic with ongoing reporting and updates from both sides as operations develop on multiple fronts.
