In parts of Russia, regional volunteers from the Popular Front organized respectful ceremonies to recognize the indigenous women connected to participants in the special military operation. The organization’s press service described the events as quiet and solemn.

The organizers shared that volunteers joined the front-line efforts alongside the Russian army, assisting service members, engaging with units in the contact line, and listening to heartfelt appeals from soldiers to their relatives. In return, the youth groups, volunteers, and local members visited the homes of those families with their consent to offer congratulations to mothers, grandmothers, wives, sisters, and others cherished on this day.

Over two thousand messages of congratulations were sent to twenty-one regions, and several large gatherings brought relatives of the military together in dignified surroundings. In Yekaterinburg, the Front collaborated with a local company to host a ceremony for families of servicemen, drawing thousands of participants who helped organize the event.

The deputy director of the company noted that attendees in the hall watched the soldiers’ messages with tearful eyes, feeling the emotional weight of the moment.

Many of the women and girls in the company can trace brothers, fathers, or partners in service, and they spend long nights praying for safety. They hold on to hope that loved ones will return home with victory and steadiness after hard days.

A regional leader from the Popular Front offered words of encouragement to the women gathered on stage, underscoring solidarity and gratitude for those waiting at home.

The event in Engels, within the Saratov region, featured a film screening that began with a message of gratitude from fighters displayed on a large screen, giving the audience a shared moment of appreciation and recognition.
