This special anniversary edition of First Dates

The reality dating series celebrating six years in Cuatro is set to premiere on Monday, April 18 at 21:45. The special episode will feature musical performances and intimate moments as singles explore potential connections in a festive atmosphere designed to celebrate love.

Following a Mediaset announcement, the show hosted by Carlos Sobera will stage a surprise for a couple who met on the program and are now expecting a baby. Viewers will also witness a blind date, and a unique dating scenario involving four polyamorous participants, along with other segments.

Reflecting on the six years since the show began, the host noted the milestone was reached on April 17, 2016. He described it as meaningful to have spent six years on air, with memorable moments that will stay with him for life.

He added that the past six years have been rewarding thanks to a strong team, close friendships formed at the restaurant, and the constant flow of fresh ideas from both staff and guests. He emphasized that nothing compares to love and expressed hope for many more years of welcoming people to share their journeys at the First Dates restaurant.

Since opening its doors, the restaurant has hosted over 15,000 singles across more than 7,500 dates. Approximately half of the couples agreed to a second meeting, and nearly all indicated they would return to First Dates. The show has witnessed seven weddings and eight babies, with one more on the way.

This will be exclusive to First Dates

The anniversary episode will feature a blindfolded date and a bid to rekindle romance, with a focus on inclusivity and diversity. A Tina Turner musical performance will light up the stage, and a guest performer will sing a romantic tune as part of the celebration.

The staff will accompany two hopefuls, Sara and Pablo, on a date designed to illustrate that love transcends barriers. Sara, a 39-year-old resident of Malaga who is deaf, works at a bank and embodies resilience. Pablo, a warm, sign-language fluent individual from Murcia, is CODA and passionate about connecting with others. Both arrive with a sincere wish to find someone special.

The restaurant will also reserve a table for José and Eli, a couple who met on the show four years ago and are now expecting a baby in June. They will return to celebrate their love and the upcoming arrival. Eli plans a surprise for José, revealing the baby’s gender during the date.

Mallorca native Paco, 71, who attended the previous event, returns for this special edition to reconnect with Eufrasia and to offer Cupid a second chance. Paco will not come alone, as his son Raúl will join them to share observations from the terrace in the evening.

Yolanda and Alberto hope to discover a stronger connection. They will meet for a blind date where trust and perception play key roles, with the couple remaining blindfolded until the moment the date ends. Yolanda is described as a creative, original, and passionate woman with a rocker spirit who marches to her own drum. The potential romance between them will be watched with interest.

The episode will also welcome four partners who believe in polyamory and open relationships. Alonso, Jennifer, Tomás, and Cristina—four thirty-somethings—will showcase that sexual diversity can have a meaningful place in modern dating narratives.
