Firefighting Operation at San Vicente del Raspeig Cement Plant

Fire teams from the Provincial Firefighters Consortium and the Alicante Fire Prevention, Extinguishing and Rescue Service, known as SPEIS, responded to a truck fire inside the San Vicente del Raspeig cement plant this afternoon. The blaze was brought under control before it could spread beyond the vehicle, and there were no reported injuries.

Emergency services were alerted at 4:30 p.m. and the operation concluded at approximately 6:15 p.m., according to officials from the Provincial Firefighters Consortium. While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, responders confirmed that the truck was burning within the facility and appeared to be leaking fuel at the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a truck engulfed in flames inside the cement plant, with visible fuel leakage continuing to pose a risk. The coordinated response included a command headquarters unit and two heavy-duty apparatuses managed by the fire service teams. In total, six firefighters from the Alicante City Council and eight firefighters from the San Vicente park participated, working alongside a city apparatus to manage the incident.

Investigators and safety officers moved to secure the site, with two units from the Alicante Local Police also assisting at the scene to ensure perimeter control and crowd safety as needed.
