Fire Incidents in Astrakhan, Tobolsk, and Ismailia: Evacuations, Investigations, and Response

Two houses and two outbuildings burned in Astrakhan, with the fire spreading across an area of 300 square meters, according to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Astrakhan Region. At 13:35 local time (12:35 Moscow time), the duty shift of the Main Directorate received a report about a blaze affecting two residential buildings in the Trusovsky district, at Karl Marx Street, number 9, as the ministry stated. As the flames grew more intense, fire crews and rescue teams moved in to contain the incident. A total of 12 units of equipment and 45 personnel from the Ministry of Emergency Situations were deployed to the scene. Investigators are working to clarify the circumstances surrounding the fire.

In another incident, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia previously reported that an open fire had been extinguished in a five-story building in Tobolsk that caught fire following a gas explosion. A total of 296 people were evacuated from the building and placed with relatives or in temporary shelters. A criminal case was initiated by the Investigative Committee in connection with the event.

Witnesses described the Tobolsk fire as having broken out after the gas explosion in the five-story building.

Nearby, authorities reported that the Egyptian Security Directorate (police) building in the city of Ismailia, located about 70 kilometers from Port Said, had been completely burned out.
