Finval-2023: MiG-31 Interceptors Guard Chukotka in Defensive Exercises

During the Finval-2023 exercises, MiG-31 fighter-interceptors patrolled the skies above the Chukotka Peninsula, practicing interception of a simulated hostile force. This was reported through the Telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The exercise showcased the air defense planning and response to an air attack scenario, under the leadership of Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy. Two MiG-31s on duty were scrambled to intercept target cruise missiles, and aerial targets were neutralized with air-to-air missiles before the fighters returned to Anadyr airfield.
