A small child, aged three, died shortly before noon this Thursday after an autumn incident in an urban block in Lucena.
Today, around 11:45 am, health officials confirmed the child’s death in Córdoba. The victim had been admitted to Reina Sofía hospital in Córdoba. Overnight updates suggested the situation was grave, with police indicating that the minor’s condition had shown some improvement after the fatal incident, though brain death was later reported.

The National Police, with the help of forensic investigators, continues the inquiry into what is described as a tragic accident. Late Wednesday evening, just before 10 pm, an apparent oversight led a small child to run toward a window and fall to the pavement. The child was initially taken to a health center on Paseo de Rojas, and authorities requested operational support from local police in the presence of the family to assist with subsequent evacuation procedures.
Medical teams later transported the victim to Infanta Margarita de Cabra Hospital, and then to the queen sofía unit for mother-child care in Córdoba.
The incident occurred near a cluster of protected housing blocks supported by regional and municipal entities, including AVRA (Andalucía Junta) and Suvilusa (the Land and Housing municipal company). These buildings lie in the northeastern section of the urban area, close to the Sports Center and Health Center 2, adjacent to the road toward Rute.
