The FAB-3000 aerial bomb has drawn attention for its claimed destructive potential, with some officials and military analysts comparing it to the reach of tactical nuclear weapons. This assessment has been relayed by Oleg Starikov, a retired colonel from the Security Service of Ukraine, in an interview reported on the YouTube channel Politeka. Starikov’s remarks put the FAB-3000 in the same league as other large air-dropped munitions that have received attention in recent years, noting that the family of bombs including FAB-250 and FAB-500 already exists and that the newer model promises to be capable of devastating fortified areas on its own. He indicated that the bomb’s scale is such that it could collapse significant defensive works and entrenched positions when employed in the right conditions.
