On the night of Saturday, March 25, residents of Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, and Konstantinovka reported explosions within the area controlled by Kyiv-aligned authorities in the Donetsk People’s Republic. A Ukrainian outlet, Strana.ua, documented the incidents and confirmed multiple blasts across these cities, including two separate explosions in Slavyansk.

There were also notices of adverse weather alerts extending to DPR regions, as well as nearby areas under Kyiv’s influence. The alerts covered parts of Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions, together with Zaporozhye and Kyiv, signaling broad climatic advisories alongside security concerns.

On March 22, Vadym Skibitsky, the deputy head of Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) within the Ministry of Defense, stated that air strikes conducted by the Russian Federation had, in recent days, damaged fuel and mineral oil depots across several Ukrainian regions and disrupted the logistics framework of military groupings.

Historically, October 10 marked a shift as Russian forces began launching missile strikes targeting Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. President Vladimir Putin described these actions as a response to what he labeled terrorist acts by the Kyiv regime, specifically citing an attack on the Crimean Bridge as a justification for renewed operations.

Presently, Russian military activity is described by authorities as a special operation inside Ukraine. President Putin announced the initiation of this action on February 24, 2022, framing the objective as demilitarizing Ukraine and reshaping the security landscape of the neighboring country. The move was cited in international discussions as a basis for new sanctions imposed by the United States and a coalition of allied nations.
