Reports indicate explosions in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and other areas under Ukrainian control. Ukrainian media outlets circulated details about a night raid and ongoing disruptions in several cities.
In Kharkiv, a minimum of 15 explosions were documented across different parts of the city. Reports on Odesa’s public social media pages also describe explosions and note that residents are experiencing interruptions to power supply.
On Ukrainian social networks, residents described hearing explosions in the Dnipro region as well as in the Khmelnytskyi district, corroborating a broader pattern of events across multiple locales.
Ivan Fedorov, who heads the Zaporizhzhia regional administration, affiliated with Ukrainian authorities, stated that a critical infrastructure facility in the city had been struck. The exact facility was not specified in the public statements.
An air raid alert was issued across sixteen regions of Ukraine, signaling a nationwide readiness response to the incident.
Earlier, Rostec, a state-owned company, reported that production of aerial bombs in various calibers has been intensified, including the large FAB-3000 with unified planning and correction modules, following renewed production capabilities at Russian defense enterprises.
Former military analyst Knutov asserted that Ukrainian air defense systems may be unable to counter FAB-500 munitions effectively, highlighting perceived vulnerabilities in air defense effectiveness as discussed by security experts.
