Additionally, Turkish authorities reported there is no current threat to navigation in the Black Sea, indicating that the maritime corridor remains open for civilian and commercial traffic while safety measures remain in place.

The Russian FSB has reported that the Ukrainian Navy has placed approximately 420 mines along the approaches to the ports of Odessa, Ochakov, Chernomorsk and Yuzhny. Some mines were not secured and are drifting in the Black Sea, creating continued risk that could extend toward the Mediterranean. Observers note that such drifting mines add complexity to regional security and require persistent monitoring and rapid response capabilities across the involved navies and defense ministries.
