Elche takes part in the sixth edition of the Alicante Gastronomy Fair, a cornerstone event that celebrates Spain’s rich culinary landscape and the Mediterranean spirit. The fair runs from Friday, September 27 to Monday, September 30, and brings together a wide spectrum of products from across the country and beyond. Attendees can explore workshops, tastings, product showcases, live cooking demonstrations, and tastings that illuminate the region’s flavors and culinary traditions.

More than 250 exhibitors will present to both the public and industry professionals a diverse array of gastronomic specialties from the province. Expect appellations of origin, quality brands, local, organic, and handmade goods, as well as traditional wines and beverages, along with a range of equipment and services supporting the sector.

Visitelche participates with an 80-square-meter stand named Mansion II, in collaboration with the Elche Tourism Enterprises Association, Camp d’Elx Rural Development Association, Camp d’Elx Restaurant Association, and the Protected Designation of Origin Granada Mollar de Elche together with the Dátil de Elche Quality Mark. The stand brings together more than 30 producers, restaurateurs, and educators, offering workshops, product presentations, live cooking demonstrations, and tastings that showcase the complete gastronomic offering of Elche and the Camp d’Elx region. Featured are rice dishes, cheeses, olive oils, Granada Mollar de Elche pomegranates, dates, Carrizales melons, sausages, salted delicacies, tapas, cocktails, wines, traditional liqueurs, and desserts, which will be the focus of these activities.

A complete program of activities

In addition, the programming spans every day of the fair. The Camp d’Elx Rural Development Association and the Elche Food Association will present at the Visitelche stand the gastronomic dishes that form the essence of this land, giving visitors a tangible glimpse into the region’s culinary identity and its time-honored techniques.
