Egyptian hotels show no intention of phasing out the all-inclusive model. This stance was clarified by Amr Elkadi, the chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Authority, in an interview with RIA News. He explained that the ultimate decision rests with each hotel, and operators will continue to offer all-inclusive arrangements, albeit with some subtle adjustments.
Elkadi pointed out that the all-inclusive format remains especially appealing for families with children who enjoy spending time by the pool and returning to the dining area for meals and treats at their own pace. The model provides ease and consistency, allowing guests to manage meals and activities without navigating separate charges for every item.
In addition, guests now have the option to visit à la carte restaurants without paying extra fees. The provision of these fee-free dining options gives families and other travelers greater flexibility to vary their meals beyond the traditional buffet. Guests are encouraged to use hotel shuttle services to reach these dining venues, replacing fixed buffet commitments at individual hotel restaurants. Elkadi stressed that this approach can help reduce food waste, addressing one of the main criticisms often leveled at all-inclusive buffets.
On the travel schedule front, it has been announced that Azur Air will operate flights to Egypt, taking over routes previously served by a more limited carrier. This shift is part of broader adjustments in the aviation side of the tourism industry, aimed at improving connectivity and expanding access for visitors from various markets.
