EDEM Business School is expanding its footprint beyond Valencia with a new face‑to‑face program launching in Alicante. The center will offer a version of its Superpymes program in the city’s capital, tailored for self‑employed professionals and small business owners. The rollout is planned for Monday sessions from May 8 to June 23, delivering a premium educational experience to local entrepreneurs.
At EDEM, the aim is clear: to positively impact society by helping companies grow, create jobs, and increase wealth across the country. Elena Fernandez, the general manager of the business school, emphasized that the Superpymes initiative in Alicante gives local self‑employed individuals and small ventures access to a program already well established in Valencia. The Valencia version has helped more than 600 participants expand their operations, she noted .
For now, Alicante marks the first step in bringing this program to the city. There are no immediate plans to widen EDEM’s physical presence or secure additional facilities in the near term. Juan Roig, founder of Mercadona, hinted at the possibility of reassessing future expansions after the final Mercadona results presentation; Marina de Empresas could become a long‑term site for such growth .
The current arrangement places the program in a training hall within facilities owned by the ASV insurance group in Agua Amarga. The Superpymes curriculum emphasizes practical, immediately applicable solutions across core business areas such as strategy, business models, leadership, communication, people management, taxation, marketing, social media, and sales. Participants learn tools that can be put into practice in their own companies from day one.
Elena Fernandez describes Superpymes as a program that helps students develop a strategy, identify their customers, think differently, and ultimately grow their businesses. Access is partially subsidized by the EDEM Foundation and CaixaBank, making participation more affordable for interested applicants.
