An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale was detected in Malatya province, which sits in the eastern part of the country. The report came from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
As stated by the ministry, the quake struck in the Doğanşehir area at 21:29 local time, the same as Moscow time. The seismic source lay at a depth of 10.96 kilometers. At this time, there are no reports of casualties or structural damage.
