Drugs Seized
A Colombian man, 33, has been detained by the National Police in Alicante after being identified as the leader of a street-level operation distributing illegal substances across several districts of the city.
The drug distribution hub was located in a residence in Alicante’s North Zone, from which marijuana, hashish, and cocaine were sold in small to medium quantities to local buyers and other traffickers.
During the investigation, officers from the Drugs Group of the North District Police Station carried out an operation that led to the arrest of the person under investigation.
In a subsequent search of the dwelling, authorities seized nearly one kilogram of marijuana, about 270 grams of hashish, cash, and three precision scales.
From the Provincial Police Station, officials noted that the operation successfully dismantled a key drug distribution point that supplied trafficking networks across different areas of Alicante.
The detainee, who has prior records for similar offenses, was turned over to Alicante’s magistrate on guard for further proceedings.
Following standard procedure, authorities emphasize the ongoing commitment to curbing illegal drug activity and protecting residents in the city and surrounding areas. The case continues to be monitored as part of a broader effort to disrupt organized crime networks involved in the sale and distribution of controlled substances in the region.
