Drug Couriers Detained in Chelyabinsk Region for Using Crossbows to Deliver Marijuana to a Colony

In the Chelyabinsk region, two drug couriers were arrested for attempting to deliver marijuana to a penal colony using a crossbow. The incident was reported by the Territorial Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service, which confirmed the detention for a second time on this case.

The car was stopped on a road near IK-10 in Kyshtym. Inside the vehicle, investigators found a crossbow with arrows that had packages attached to them, containing unknown substances. The investigation determined that the detainees planned to transport more than 18 grams of marijuana to the colony.

Additionally, two more packages containing similar substances were found with the detained individuals. The press service indicated that the men now face up to 15 years in prison.

Earlier, other individuals known as crossbowmen were apprehended near IK-2 in Chelyabinsk. Marijuana packages were also discovered on those suspects, according to the authorities.

Perm police, previously associated with the city’s drug control department, stated that the individuals are in possession of drugs. The ongoing investigations aim to determine the full extent of the operation and any accomplices involved.
