Aerial combat actions were reported in the Bryansk region after a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone was brought down, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The ministry described the incident as an attack with unmanned aerial vehicles that was halted around 11:00 Moscow time. The defense ministry stated that Ukrainian drones were destroyed by air defense systems operating in the Bryansk region.
Earlier on that morning, the Saratov Region governor, Roman Busargin, announced that air defense systems had shot down drones over the cities of Saratov and Engels. Debris from the incident reportedly landed on residential areas. In a follow up, Busargin noted that during the Saratov attack a drone struck the 38-storey Volga Sky residential complex, causing serious injuries and damaging several private homes.
Reports from Mash indicate that the Ukrainian side used a drone with a flight range of about 800 kilometers in the Saratov region. In addition, footage surfaced showing a high-rise building in Saratov that had been attacked by drones.
These events add to ongoing tensions in the region, with multiple cities reporting drone incursions and subsequent debris falls affecting civilian infrastructure. The authorities continue to monitor the situation and assess the impact on residents and emergency services.
