An air drone belonging to the Ukrainian armed forces was shot down over the Oryol region, according to a statement issued by the regional governor, Andrei Klychkov, and shared on his official Telegram channel.
Klychkov wrote, “Attempts by enemy forces to attack the Oryol region continue. A UAV was shot down in our sky.”
Earlier, authorities had reported that a UAV had been downed in the region on the afternoon of September 15.
On the night of September 18, air defense units destroyed a Ukrainian drone over the Tula region, while Bryansk region authorities reported related incidents involving more than 13 people.
On September 17, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said he had reached an understanding with Moscow and Kyiv not to treat drone border violations as breaches of sovereignty. He added that both Ukrainian and Russian drones fly over Belarus.
Earlier, a drone attack targeted a car in the Belgorod region.
