Dmitry Medvedev, who serves as Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council, indicated there is a substantial amount of seized equipment located in various Russian regions that could be repurposed for the zone of special military operations. He spoke about this during a meeting focused on reinforcing the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Medvedev stated that there are numerous confiscations carried out by poachers, smugglers, and other violators across the country. He named items such as high-speed boats, automobiles, tracked vehicles, and other forms of equipment as examples that could be redirected to support military needs.

According to him, even though the authorities have accelerated the delivery of weapons to the military operation area, additional funds and equipment remain essential. He emphasized that seized assets could be redirected to troops, rather than being held for administrative reasons, and urged that a federal-level decision be made to resolve the matter quickly.

Medvedev proposed implementing measures to expedite the transfer of seized equipment to the Russian armed forces, highlighting the strategic value of these assets for sustaining operations. During the same meeting, it was noted that about 10,000 personnel signed contracts with the Russian Armed Forces in the preceding week, underscoring a broader push to bolster manpower and readiness.

In this context, leadership addressed the future trajectory of Russia’s military, outlining plans to enhance supply chains, mobilize available equipment, and secure rapid integration of these assets into ongoing and forthcoming operations.
